Review: Lovense Nora
This year, I made my wishes come true more often than in previous years. I treated myself to three vibrators that I had been looking at for a long time: the last rated Lelo Engima, a vibrator that left me colder than expected - Dame Eva, and the last one that I expected a lot from but had no idea where it will take me. This is Lovense Nora.
I've seen Lovense in foreign online shops and ads on Facebook and Instagram. So it's no secret that I immediately checked their website and discovered that they are famous for their technologically advanced toys. Dan Liu founded the company in Singapore in 2009. Because he had a long-distance relationship, he started thinking about toys that would somehow transport him to a bedroom on the other side of the world. Of course, I don't need to be transported anywhere, but I was interested to see what their toys offer.
I did not have much time to think about it. The discounted prices campaign on their website was running out, and I had to choose. It's a good thing there are only ten toys in the women's section. After the elimination tournament in my head, I had two left in my basket: Hyphy and Nora. Since I didn't want only my clit to enjoy it, I decided to go for the rabbit vibrator, Nora.
Don't judge a book by its cover. This phrase was going through my head as I looked at the packaging of the vibrator. Don't judge a book by its cover; if it's worth what it's worth, there's a real treasure hidden under the white cardboard. And there really is. When I opened the box, I saw a big toy with a huge head, and underneath it, a charger, an instruction manual, and a storage bag. For the first time, I put the toy down and picked up my phone and the instruction manual. I studied the buttons and the charging, but there was no sign of an app in the instructions. Luckily the Internet had the answer. A few seconds later, the Lovense Remote app was on my phone, and my thumb was already holding the upper button on the toy.
I counted to four. Nora and the app were instantly connected like they would have known each other for a long time. Lovense Remote is very easy to use. When you open it for the first time, it will guide you through the steps until the toy is connected. If you do everything right, you'll see a primary menu on the screen. The first button, "Remote", is the most important. It is used to adjust the speed of the insertable part and the part for the clitoral stimulation separately. Similar to the Satisfyer app, this is indicated by the pink and blue colors. There are four views to choose from. Pressing the second button allows you to create custom patterns, and pressing the third will make the toy vibrate in a song's rhythm. Pressing the "Sound" button works similarly, except that the app will track your speaking. And just in case you forget, you can set the alarm to remind you when it's time to masturbate. The toy will turn on at the chosen hour.
I really liked all this. Since I am single, it has everything I need. However, you'll be more impressed with the menu below for those in a relationship. The "long distance" button will help you connect with your partner from the other side of the town or world, but you both have to be logged in to Lovense account. Once that step is done, you can play until the toy's battery runs out. There is also a "Discover" button where you can find other users' favorite patterns, Speed mode (the speed and vibration power are adjusted for acceleration and braking; when driving, you should be in the passenger seat), or you can just buy a toy and give it to someone as a gift.
My fingers couldn't resist the most attractive button: "Control Link". This was a fantastic solution to the unnecessary complications of opening a new account. You can set the expiry time of the link before you create it and then just copy it, send it, and wait for your partner to receive it. When opened, the other person will see a menu that could be more intuitive, as it mixes a chat box and two buttons to manage the toy. When you press the 'chat' button, the two vibration control buttons hide, and it takes a while to rediscover them. The menu could be better if you want to use the connection in the heat of the moment, as it is better to study the operation in detail first. The toy connection works flawlessly and allows a partner on the other side to bring you to orgasm without interruption. This is also the most important thing.
I started the game in a not-so-modern way - using buttons. There are two on the toy: the top one to switch the toy on and off and control the clitoral stimulation, and the bottom one to control the circling head inside the peach. There are three rotation speeds for the thick head (circumference: 12 cm), and if you hold the button for a few seconds, Nora changes the direction of rotation. The top button controls, as already mentioned, the vibrations of the part for the clitoris. It also has three vibration speeds, except the jump between the power levels is huge, which I liked very much. In addition to the different speeds of monotonous vibration, there are five unusual patterns to play with. Well, the first one is a classic pulsation, but the other four are like surprise bags - I didn't know what I would get. One is reminiscent of a do-re-mi scale, while the others are impossible to put into any group; I just know that they gave me more hope that I will be able to experience an orgasm with them.
Nora has a white plastic base, while the shaft and the attachment for the clitoris are covered in pink body-friendly smooth silicone. The top of the shaft is wavy for better vaginal stimulation. But, again, I had to tell myself not to judge a book by its cover because, at first glance, Nora was just like any other rabbit vibrator. It even seemed that some other companies had put a lot more energy into the aesthetics of the toy.
But as Nora's head began to go around my clitoris, I had forgotten about the aesthetic details. An insatiable desire to orgasm was rising in me. Because I still had the peach not warmed up, insertion was more complex, and lubricant would have come in very handy. But with a little effort, Nora was already happily banging against the walls of my vagina, exactly where I needed it to be. I knew that just the rotation wouldn't be enough for me, although it was pleasant, and at times my whole body was flooded with a tingling sensation. I turned on the clitoral attachment. Oh, hell! The two parts were perfectly in tune. Even at the first stage, I thought I would faint with pleasure. I had reached the second stage when unexpectedly, tears came out of my eyes, and the orgasm came from somewhere deep inside. It was so strong that I had to move Nora's thumb away from my clitoris.
I couldn't stop thinking about Nora while preparing lunch, so I had to take a break. This time I used it with an app and lube. Inserting became ridiculously easy, and playing with Nora was almost hands-free. Over the next few days, I tested out everything Lovense Remoteoffers. Unfortunately, since they've broken off with Spotify, it only works on the music you manually download from your computer to your phone. However, the app is very good at recognizing your voice or the pitch of your voice, as it will respond with vibrations at the exact moment.
The most important lesson from this testing: don't judge a book by its cover. Don't judge by the look of the packaging, don't judge by the appearance of the toy. It is crazy, it is excellent, and it is extraordinary in conjunction with the sophisticated app. The head rotation alone does not bring the desired orgasm, but in combination with the clitoral attachment, a real miracle happens between the legs and the phone in hand.
You can buy it here: Lovense Nora (The product has a heavily discounted price!)
