Review: Lelo Dot
Maybe it's time to admit to myself that I am a sucker for Valentine's Day, or rather Valentine's Day discounts. This year, my wallet suffered a more minor loss than otherwise, but I had to afford something for myself. After all, it was an appropriate time to pamper myself. A Lelo Dot vibrator came into my house.
I decided to cross my limits and chose a light green silicone color. I waited less than a week, and a toy in a typical Lelo packaging with a large shop window in front was on my doorstep. For two more days, the toy patiently waited for me to finish all my obligations, but then the afternoon in bed finally came. The winter sun was shining outside, but it did not bother me at all.
The silicone color was reminiscent of spring, and its softness reminded me of bed linen washed with the best fabric softener. The toy's appearance resembles a tentacle on one hand and a large drop on the other. I was reminded of the tentacle by the pattern on the silicone and the drop by the shape of the base, which has a holder surrounded by gold plastic in the middle. This is then tapered into a half-centimeter-diameter silicone tip, which is the highlight of this clitoral stimulator, the one that brings you to the sweet end.
There are three buttons on the base: the middle one is for switching between different vibration modes or patterns, the lower plus is for increasing the vibration power, and the upper minus is for lowering. There are eight vibration modes, and you'll find a little of everything. There is a lot of pulsation (they differ from each other in speed), followed by waves and later escalating patterns. Each of the last two also offers different speeds. At the bottom of the toy is an opening for a charging cable, but Lelo will need to think about a magnetic one. In addition to the described vibrator and cable, the package includes a warranty, lubricant, storage bag, and instructions for use.
At first, I needed some time to get used to the buttons again, but as with other Lelo toys, I quickly managed to find the right power button. When Lelo Dot vibrated quietly, I held the 'minus 'button and came to a gentle movement of the toy tip. I put it against the clitoris, which, despite the soft touch, began to respond to stimuli. It was a great time to test the breathing techniques. It was not difficult to breathe slowly at this stage. When I increased the power, the breathing became shallow and fast. I had a lot more work to stay focused. The hand's grip was good because of the ring and the buttons' position on the part that allows effortless operation. I held the plus button slightly longer but didn't reach the highest vibration power. My breath got lost, and I knew there was no point in resisting. The orgasm was accompanied by tears, and it was time to move the vibrator away for a few minutes.
Soon, I was ready for a new one. The body was rested, the breath calmed down, and I jumped back into the sea of pleasure. This time, I carried out my plan. I tested all vibration modes, from pulsation to gradation. The pulsation seemed too fast to begin with, so I stopped at the first wave pattern. But then the impossible happened. The orgasm came when I wasn't ready for it at all. It hit me on the head from behind. It was weaker than the first one, but enough for me to put the toy down again.
They say the third time is a charm, so next time I wanted to focus on everything: the toy, the feeling in the body, and breathing. Somewhere in the middle level of vibration power, I began to lose my breath again, but I was concentrated enough that I was able to call it back. Slowed conscious breathing moved the orgasm further away, although the tingling was getting stronger, and streams of tears poured over my cheeks and dripped onto the bed. Despite controlled breathing, the highest vibration strength triggered an avalanche in my body, and a few seconds later, I was already holding my breath and letting the orgasm the free path.
The tip of the Lelo Dot moves in ellipses and does not circulate, which should make it impossible for the clitoris to go numb, but a few times, for a few seconds, this is precisely what happened to me. It became unresponsive, but with the help of the intensification of the vibration power, it quickly started working again.
I also jumped in the shower with a toy, which can be replaced with a lubricant. The feeling is similar, except you will be as dirty with the lubricant as your thoughts. The best thing about this toy is that you can use it any way you want: just the tip on the clitoris or a larger surface of the toy on the whole peach. If you are more daring, you can also soak the tip in a peach for a while.
At first glance, Lelo Dot is a big toy for a little effect, brought only by the tip. But with a sufficiently large range of vibration power and patterns, it can easily compete with vibrators with much more than just the tip.
