Review: CalExotics Elle Dual Flicker
A promise made is a debt unpaid. The whole last year, I was screaming secretly at myself to buy toys that would enchant me at first glance for this dull January. The CalExotics Elle vibrator was precisely what I was looking for - a well-known brand toy with an attractive shape that has so far failed to make its way into Slovenian stores. The debt was paid.
You know that feeling when the seconds fall into place, when everything works out ideally, like in a romantic comedy? This tedious and very happy interplay of events happened to me. Caught in the greyness of a January day, I had a terrible urge to reach an orgasm. I was alone, and nothing was holding me back. But the phone rang as I searched my closet to find a toy. I thought the universe had given me another good tug, and my seconds of happiness was over. When I put the phone down, I couldn't believe it wasn't errands calling me but a courier with a package full of keys to sweet orgasms.
I opened the packaging of Elle's vibrator. A strong, disgusting smell hit my face, and I still can't describe it. I was so confused that I completely forgot about the charging cable, which is not magnetic. I grabbed the vibrator, disinfected it, held it under a hot stream of water for a while, and cleaned it with an erotic toy cleaner. I reduced the smell a little, but it was not good enough. I was in doubt about whether to use the toy or not. I looked at the toy's packaging to give me time to think and perhaps find an answer to my question. Elle is waterproof, has two motors, and can be set in a locked mode so that traveling with it does not cause you to blush when the customs officer asks you to open your suitcase.
I may have found the answer to why the toy smells like that. Elle is made of liquid silicone, but silicone itself does not smell. Instead, it is caused by other ingredients that come into contact with it. This can be easily solved by soaking the toy in a mixture of vinegar and water or by waiting for the smell to disappear. I have adopted the latter method, and after a month, I can confirm that the smell is gone.
The first time I tested it, I said to myself, "If I die, I die", and stuck it into the peach. The insertable part is thicker, curved, and very short (about seven centimeters), and the clitoral stimulator is rounded at the root. However, at the end it changes into a hard but still flexible fork. On the toy's tail, you will find two barely visible but tangible buttons to control the Elle vibrator. Hold the top button to switch the toy on and off and the bottom one to switch between programs. The base is very flexible, which I thought was great as you can bend it and reach the buttons quickly, but on the other hand, its dancing was distracting - as if it didn't have its place.
I tested all the programs: three monotonous vibrations and seven patterns. I stopped at fast and strong pulsations, intensifying pulsations and pulsations with cessation. These three were also the ones I liked the most among the patterns, as they put me on the road to orgasm. The others, the slow, the faster, and the most rapid waves, did not convince me. I returned to the first monotonous vibration program. The vibrations were too weak, so I continued moving up. I stopped at the last, third level and regretted that Elle did not offer a fourth and fifth. I was close but still light years away from orgasm.
The clitoral attachment has a firm grip, but it seemed to me that it was grabbing something other than my clitoris. I wanted the fork to drum on the surface of the peach, so I pushed the root of the base down. I couldn't hold the whole base down since it was too thin for such maneuvers. I found a way that suited me. The thick head inside was pressing my sweet point, and the fork was just the proper distance away from the clitoris. The stimulation was just right. I only needed to count to ten, and an orgasm was there.
In the following tests, the same thing happened to me. It always took me a few minutes to find the correct position of the toy. I also missed having a button to move down the programs so that as soon as I fucked, I could return to where I found pleasure.
What impressed me most about Elle was the shape of the insertable part because it offers a good massage of the inside, its silence, and the power of the vibrations. Still, I missed a few more levels of monotonous vibrations, a few more buttons, and a better fit without wasting time discovering the hidden path to orgasm. Still, I find the vibrator much better than the magazine. You can take the toy with you in the shower, if nothing else.
