Review: Happy Loky Kegel Beads
In today's world, Kegel exercises are a skill of organized and perfect women who can find time for themselves in all the chaos around us. I tried to force myself to be more like them, but I forgot about Kegel exercises too many times. That changed last year with the help of Svakom's Kegel beads. This time these are on hold as I tested Happy Loky Kegel Beads.
They arrived at the right time. I am currently working from home, thanks to the coronavirus, and due to all the restrictions, I find it hard to afford more than a walk. So with even greater joy, I unfolded my yoga mat, put on a sports bra, turned on the computer, took out the blocks and my purple strap; I was ready to start squeezing the muscles.
Somewhere between squeezing my abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles and lifting slightly into the half-bridge, I remembered. Of course, beads! I already used Svakom ones during yoga, but eventually, I forgot about them. I wore them on a walk, but I rarely remembered to take them with me when I hurried on to my yoga practice. This time I didn't feel like I was in a hurry. I just pressed the pause button and took a walk to my toy closet. A beautiful, pastel-colored packaging was hiding four beads and a string. Every part is made out of medical silicone. The beads are similar colors as the packaging, pink, light blue, dark green, and pastel blue. Each color means a different weight:
Light blue - 15 g
Pink - 25 g
Pastel blue - 35 g
Dark green - 55 g
On the packaging, there are also instructions on how to use and change them. If you are a beginner in Kegel exercises with beads, start with the lightest ones, pink and light blue, then continue by swapping the easiest for a slightly heavier one until you come up with a dark green and pastel blue combination. From my own experience, I advise you to insert them before recreation as you need to move around so the beads can do their job: so no sitting and no sleeping.
Before you go for your happy walk, try which combination of different weights suits you best. I used the lightest ones first. When I inserted them "into the shackles," I was scared if the beads would stay in the string at all, especially the lightest one. It seemed to be dancing around. However, when I stopped rubbing the silicone that gently surrounded the beads for a moment and pulled the string, I saw that the beads couldn't fall out.
Inserting them into the vagina was easy. Once the beads were safe in their place, I got up and ran a little on the spot. I felt nothing. So I replaced the lightest ball with a slightly heavier one (a combination of pink and pastel blue). The feeling was pleasant, but they were also reminding me they were there. I headed to the yoga mat and continued. Every time I squeezed my muscles, I felt a gentle pressure. Also, wearing the beads led me to use my pelvic floor muscles several times, even though I moaned heavily during some exercises.
After an hour and a half of yoga, I gently pulled them out. I felt a pleasant tiredness, even in my vagina. I went to take a shower and then straight to bed, glad I did something for myself and determined to use them more often in the future.
Two days later, I had an hour and a half of yoga again. An hour and a half more with beads. This time I inserted the heaviest ones, and I have to admit I'm not there yet. They bothered me, I had a feeling I needed to pee, so I preferred to take one step back. Since then, I wear them at least four times a week, if my will and forgetfulness allow.
There is a flood of beads on the market today for Kegel exercises. You can choose from: A combination of several weights (Happy Loky Kegel Beads), individual beads (Svakom Nova) and vibrating beads (Elity Anura).
Which beads to choose?
- Check their diameter (the smallest are about 3 cm in diameter, while the largest are between 3.6 and 3.7 cm in diameter)
The easiest way to do this is to remember the size of the tampons you are using. If the smallest one stays in place, then choose the bead with the smallest diameter. If the most miniature tampon dances inside your peach, then opt for a larger size. If you are not using tampons, check with your fingers. Insert two - choose a medium size; if you can put more than two, select the largest size. It also matters if you gave birth and how. Natural childbirth - you will be most comfortable with a medium or large ball; if not, the smallest will be better.
- Check their weight (the lightest weighs about 30 g, the heaviest about 100, some even 140 g)
Always start with the lightest - that's the only rule. Therefore, it is best to buy a set of beads, from the lightest to the heaviest, and progress gradually. If the bead stays in place during the movement and does not cause an uncomfortable feeling, then you can exercise. If not, you better take one step back.
Once you find the right ones for you, start with a little exercise. For beginners, it is recommended to wear them for fifteen minutes every day. You can also wear them longer, but not more than five hours. Using the beads is good for your health and tension of the pelvic floor muscles. If you ever experience an orgasm wearing the beads - even better. If your partner notices the narrowness of your vagina or you see that it is easier to reach the big O - great. But remember that health must remain a priority.
Happy Loky Kegel Beads are suitable for beginners - those who use the beads for the first time. Despite the doubt that the pull-out cord would not hold the beads in place, this did not happen. You can easily insert and pull them out. An even better thing about these beads, though, is that you can change them and adjust the weight.
