The tribute to my best friend and her love for toys
In the last gasps of Thursday, my german boxer, my friend, my companion, and my most prominent critic fell asleep forever. Although she adored her toys, mine caused her a lot of gray hair, especially on the chin.
This dog has been a part of me since I first brought her home for Christmas; we ate together, slept together, went for walks, and played together when I had the time. She had tons of toys. Sometimes when I wasn't paying attention to her, she threw one in my head when I was still lost somewhere in my dreams.
My toy collection was smaller than hers. Debby, that was her name, always craved for company while playing with her toys, but I wished for some peace and time while playing with mine. At times like these, I closed the door of the room so she couldn't get in. Although she was sound asleep in the living room, and only a deep snoring could be heard from her corner, the moment I lay down on the bed, she was already scratching at the door. By making sad noises, she warned me that there would be no relaxation for me till I don't let her in. And when I had already lost my enthusiasm for 'me time', I put on my panties and opened the door. But with such a sad look she gave me, I couldn't help not being angry. She has been with me ever since, even when I was testing toys.
I started to leave the door open, and every time I got into bed, I could already hear the gentle sound of claws on the floor as she was walking towards the room. She ran to the bed and then spent another five minutes looking for a position that suited her. I'm not exaggerating, five minutes. And she had to touch my feet just about every time. The more I explained to her that we have a double bed and that her always touching me was already really getting on my nerves, the more she was squeezing against me.
So I gave in to fate once more, waited for her to fall asleep, and tried to push her away a bit. Just enough to be able to satisfy my needs in peace. All right, now she was about twenty centimeters away from me. Perfect, the air was clear! Time to test the vibrator.
The same second I turned it on, she jumped up and gave me that stupid look. Then she started following the buzzing noise. At first, she even got up and inspected the bed. Eventually, she got used to it. She could not ignore it, but instead of walking around, the next time she heard the vibrator, she just lifted her head and fell right back to bed. As if to think, "Look at this idiot; she is pushing those weird buzzing things in her peach again."
Of all the erotic toys, she hated the ones with the sonic waves function the most. She did not and could not get over these. It even happened that she escaped from them to a more peaceful place and left me alone in the room. Although she gave the impression that she had come to terms with me testing the erotic toys, every now and then, she secretly stole the vibrator that was charging on the floor or at least tried to do so. She has been under my watch ever since.
But she enjoyed, when I was writing in bed. With the sound of me taping on the keyboard, she ultimately gave in. Even though I was with my head somewhere else, it was our time. She was my bedside table or an armchair for my tired hand.
Unfortunately, Saint Nicholas took her away from me. Now I write on my own, but I still remember her countless mischiefs. Despite her stealing my vibrators, she was an essential co-founder of the Those Creamy Peaches blog and remained my companion till the very end. I am immensely grateful to her for this and wish her not to meet a single vibrating stick in the dog heaven.
